Our Anniversary/Date Night

We tried to take a picture of ourselves but this is the best one that we did. We tried to do a funny picture and some serious ones, this one turned out the best without getting just one cheek and a nose. It's hard to hold the camera just right!

This year for our anniversary, Brandon surprised me with a night out. He called and reserved a room at Little America which is where we stayed on our wedding night. It was really nice to relive that night again! We went and checked into our room then went to the Gateway for dinner. We decided to try a place called ZTejos (I think that is how you spell it). People rave about how good the food is, but we were not that impressed. I got something called smothered chicken enchiladas and Brandon got Green Chile Pork Enchiladas. It was fun to try something new that we haven't been to. We then went to see a late movie that didn't get out until midnight. WOW!! We have not done that in a long time! We were very tired, we found out that we really are not as young as we once were!! =)
The next morning we went to breakfast and then picked up our boys from Grandma's house. The boys all slept there that night and loved it! I think grandma was worn out by the time we got there; her eyes were blood shot and she looked extremely tired. I'm sure she was glad when we left so she could sleep! :) It was fun to have a night out without the kids and relive our lives together, just the two of us! We found ourselves talking a lot about the boys and not talk about us. I think that is what happens when you have a family. I did have a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again. Brandon always surprises me with some getaway for our anniversary- he is always full of surprises! I love you Brandon and thanks again for all you do for me and our boys!
