kindergarten Update

I just wanted to let you know how Chase is doing with kindergarten. Well, let's just say he is doing better than we thought he would be doing. He loves the whole thing about school except for the bus. The first day of school we asked him how his day was and he said it was great! We were so happy that he had a good day.

Day 2, this is how the conversation went;

Mom: "Chase, I need you to get dressed and brush your teeth."

Chase: "Why do I have to get dressed and brush my teeth?"

Mom: "Because you have school today!"

Chase: "But I don't want to go today!"

Mom: "Well, i'm sorry sweetheart. You have to go today!"

Chase: "Mom, I just don't want to go today!"

Mom: "How come you "just don't want to go today?""

Chase: "I will only go if you take me."

Mom: "Well, there is a reason that we have a bus to come get you for school. The reason is because we are to far from the school so the bus helps out moms and dads to get their big boys and girls to school."

Chase: "Mom, I don't care. I just don't want to ride the bus!"

Mom: "I am sorry Chase. There may be a few times that I can take you, but today is not the day." (At this point, I was getting frustrated!)

Chase: "I just don't want to."

Mom: "How come you don't want to ride the bus, Chase?"

Chase: "Because it is DIRTY! It's gross! There's so much stuff everywhere!"

Mom: "I'm sorry, maybe we can talk to the bus driver to get it clean for you!"

We think it is funny because he is a very clean boy, but doesn't like to clean his room or ride in dirty cars/trucks. He tells us when it is time to clean the cars. He is a funy kid! We hope the "clean" bug stays with him for a long time!
